I was occupied, being a Web Architect on a VoIP company (that may well benefit from CUDA too).
My first version is on it’s way, it is a port of the TUROCHAMP chess algorithm from Alan Turing and D.G. Champernowne, that may be finally the first real chess program, even if none real hardware have seen it before the 90’s!
It is not a matter of doing the best chess program, nor a good chess program, just have a quick one that just work 
PS: I would like to personally thanks David Levy that helps me find his books on USA Stores. He’s a great actor of modern chess programming and involved in it’s evolution for it’s past 40 years!
